Paid ads system — creative-first, data-driven, ROAS-focused
Overview
Objective: Launch a paid ads system that begins with on-brand creatives, tests systematically across formats (static, video, VSLs, Facebook/Meta ads), and optimises to maximise ROAS.
Timeline: 8–12 weeks initial launch and testing phase, then ongoing optimisation.
Deliverables: Brand-aligned creative suite, testing roadmap, ad assets (static, short-form video, long-form VSL), tracking setup, reporting dashboard, optimisation playbook.
Phase 1 — Brand-led creative development (Week 1–2)
Audit brand assets and audience:
Review brand guidelines (voice, typography, colour, imagery), product/service USPs, top-performing organic content, customer profiles and objections.
Identify primary and secondary audience segments and purchase triggers.
Creative brief:
Define core messaging pillars (problem, solution, proof, urgency/CTA) mapped to buyer journey stages.
Specify visual and tonal directives to ensure consistency across formats.
Produce creative suite:
Static ads: 6–8 variations per audience segment (different headlines, imagery, CTAs).
Short-form video (15–30s): 4–6 scripts/edits focusing on hook, social proof, benefit, CTA.
Long-form VSL (2–8 minutes): 2 scripts—one product-led, one story-led—professionally filmed or animated as budget allows.
Thumbnails, captions, and opening frames optimised for autoplay mute.
Asset naming and version control:
Centralised library with naming convention (campaign_audience_format_version) for tracking and iteration.
Phase 2 — Tracking & setup (Week 1–2, concurrent)
Measurement foundation:
Implement pixel/conversion API, GA4 events, server-side where needed.
Define primary KPI (ROAS target) and secondary KPIs (CTR, CPV, CPC, CPA, view-through rate, quality score).
Attribution and value modelling:
Configure conversion values (LTV or average order value) and attribution windows aligned to sales cycle.
Campaign structure & audiences:
Create campaign shells per objective: Awareness (reach/video views), Consideration (traffic/engagement), Conversion (sales/leads).
Build core audiences: remarketing lists, lookalikes, interest/behaviour segments, and customer lists.
Phase 3 — Test strategy and launch (Week 3–6)
Hypothesis-driven testing framework:
Prepare test matrix: creative type × message × audience × placement.
Run controlled A/B/n tests, changing one variable per test to isolate impact.
Priorities for first 4 weeks:
Week A: Test hooks (first 3s) across short videos and stills; measure 3s video plays, CTR.
Week B: Test social proof variants (testimonial vs. stats vs. influencer) in 15–30s ads; measure CPV and CTR.
Week C: Test VSL thumbnails, opening hooks and CTAs; measure watch time, click-through to cart/landing page, assisted conversions.
Week D: Test landing page variants (headline, hero, trust marks) tied to highest-performing creatives.
Budget allocation:
10–15% awareness, 25

At Flowthetics, we curate your brand identity by anchoring it to the principles that define your business — not by applying a one-size-fits-all aesthetic, but by translating your core values into a cohesive, flexible visual and experiential system.
How we do it
Discover and translate principles
We begin with a structured discovery process: workshops, stakeholder interviews and brand audits to surface the beliefs, behaviours and strategic priorities that make your business distinct.
From those insights we distil 3–5 guiding principles (for example: “craftsmanship over convenience”, “accessible expertise”, “progressive sustainability”) that become the north star for every creative decision.
Conceptualise identity systems
Each guiding principle is translated into tangible brand cues: tone of voice, colour palettes, typographic scales, photographic and illustration styles, motion language and interaction rules.
We present a small set of curated identity directions that show how those cues work across contexts — from digital screens to printed collateral — so you can see the principles in action rather than just reading about them.
Design with flexibility and scale
Our identities are built as modular systems: core elements (logo, palette, type) plus adaptable components (secondary marks, icon sets, layout templates). This ensures brand consistency while enabling variation across campaigns, products and locations.
We document usage rules in a concise brand guide that focuses on practical application rather than exhaustive theory, making it easy for internal teams and external partners to adopt the identity.
Physical brand materials that extend the identity
We design tactile touchpoints that express your principles: business stationery that emphasises craftsmanship, packaging that demonstrates sustainable choices, environmental signage that prioritises clarity and wayfinding, retail or office graphics that embody your tone.
Each physical item is specified with production-ready files and material recommendations (paper stocks, finishes, printing techniques, surface treatments) to ensure the final object aligns with the intended experience and longevity.
Giving you full creative freedom
Creative freedom for your team is central. We deliver flexible templates, layered design files and a living component library so you can iterate independently while remaining true to the guiding principles.
We run handover sessions and provide practical playbooks: how to compose layouts, how to pair imagery with copy, how to adapt the system for new campaigns — empowering your in-house creatives or external vendors.
If you prefer, we can remain your creative partners on retainer to execute work, maintain consistency and evolve the identity as your business grows.
Why this approach works
Principle-led design ensures authenticity: decisions are defensible because they’re connected to strategic values, not trends.
Modular systems support growth: you get consistent recognition without stifling new ideas.
Physical materials anchor digital experiences: tactile, real-world objects reinforce brand memorability and trust.
Freedom plus guardrails: you retain creative autonomy while reducing the risk of off-brand executions.
